Washed Lamb Gotland locks

It is believed that the Gotland breed was first established on the Swedish island of Gotland by the Vikings.  Gotland have one of the most lustrous & silky fibers of any sheep breed.

These lovely locks are from a small farmer in British Columbia, Canada.  These locks have a wonderful softness and shine. The name of the lamb that grew this fleece is Moonin . Staple length is 3 inch and colour is pure black with a little brown tip from the sun.

I hand pulled each lock and carefully washed it.  These locks felt very easily and make great garments.
